Justice on Thursday sentenced to 25 years in prison at the former dictator Gregorio Alvarez retired general accused of 37 crimes of homicide in connection with Operation Condor during the dictatorship that led, as confirmed wife of convicted and an advocate for human rights.


The criminal court sentenced Charles Luis Alvarez on charges of crimes against humanity for the 37 murders, according to evidence presented by the prosecution in relation to the clandestine transfer of prisoners through "Operation Condor, which involved the dictatorships in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia and Brazil.
